Rotabroach UK have over 30 years experience manufacturing and supplying electrical magnetic drills, annular cutters and rail drilling machines to over 35 countries worldwide. Rotabroach have a long established history of quality and reliability. Rotabroach History
1975
Formation of Rotabroach Ltd as a division of Neepsend PLC, and an agreement with Hougen Manufacturing Inc to manufacture and market Rotabroach® products under licence.
Launch of first electro magnetic drilling machines and RC (1” cutting depth) and RCL (2” cutting depth) range of annular cutters.
Annular cutters and portable magnetic based drilling machines revolutionise the hole making industry.
Comprehensive worldwide distribution network established.
1987
Launch of RCX (4” cutting depth) range of annular cutters.
1988
Launch of compact and lightweight electric rail drilling machines.
1990
Launch of small and portable Micro electromagnetic drilling machine.
1992
Launch of evolutionary portable (2 stroke) petrol engined rail drilling machine for independent ‘stand alone’ operation.
1994
Launch and British Coal Class 1 approval of Micro-Air and Micro-Hydraulic machines for use in hazardous underground applications. Launch of M42 RCV range of annular cutters with sophisticated tooth geometry for use in harder materials.
1998
Launch of Scorpion electro magnetic machine for 3MT tooling.
1999
Launch and British Rail approval of improved compact Rhino 2 (2 stroke) petrol engine rail drilling machine for working in restricted areas.
2001
Launch and British Rail approval of Rhino 4 (4 stroke) petrol engine rail drilling machine with reduced emissions for approval to Californian regulations.
Launch of CRWC TCT tipped annular rail drill cutters for extended life in hard rails.
2002
Launch of Panther and Cobra electromagnetic drilling machines with variable cutting speeds.
Rotabroach Ltd acquired by the OSL Group of companies, and integrated as an independent division within the Group
2004
Launch of SRC industry standard ¼” pilot bore cutters also launched our countersink range CK.
2005
Launch of the of new improved Panther electromagnetic machine.
2006
Launch of the new CM/127 electric rail drill and a new range of cutters the CWC carbide tipped cutters.
2007
Launch of a new range of cutters the CRWD solid indexable cutters for use with industry standard indexable cutters. Rotabroach begin their continual development program.
2008
Appointment of new Managing Director leads to increase in development projects. New machine launched for the Spanish rail market - the new RD074HSQ, a high output speed rail drilling machine for use with the CRWD cutters.
New machine the Hawk introduced to our range of Electromagnetic drilling machine with a reverse feature for tapping.
New cutting paste RD2094 introduced into the range.
Rotabroach exhibit with great success at practical world exhibition.
New development of 3MT arbor for the RD140 Hydraulic machine.
2009
Rotabroach gain ISO9001 accreditation.
2 new machines launched into the range of electromagnetic drilling machines. The Viper our smallest ever machine at only 180mm high (which has now been replaced by the Adder) and the new Scorpion capable of drilling up to 100mm dia by 100mm deep.
New improved changes to our standard machine range Puma, Panther and Cobra. With improved ergonomics and components for better wear.
New function Cutsmart™ technology introduced to the Puma unit as well as an easy to remove arbor for interchanging for use with a drill chuck.
New cutters launched the CWCT carbide cutter with 75mm depth of cut and the CWCX carbide cutters with 110mm depth of cut.
Also launched this year are our special coated Blaze cutters and the new twist drills with a Weldon shank RTW and RRTW.
Launch of new quick release clamp for the RD07, RD074 and the CM/127 for quick detachment from the rail.
